About Access 2 Equity (A2E)

Access 2 Equity (A2E) is a Shaker Heights–based community initiative founded by Luette Harris, a mother of three and grandmother of two who believes that no one should go hungry or feel unseen.

Rooted in her Hawaiian and Samoan heritage, Luette’s love for cooking and her own experiences growing up in a large family shaped her lifelong commitment to caring for others. What began as a small act of sharing food and essentials with neighbors has grown into a powerful local movement providing meals, clothing, and household items to individuals, families, and seniors across the community.

At A2E, inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do. Our team includes both Deaf and hearing members working side by side to ensure everyone feels valued and supported — no matter their background, gender, faith, or financial situation.

We believe that access, dignity, and love are basic human rights. Through partnerships, volunteers, and community support, A2E continues to build a stronger, more connected Shaker Heights — one meal, one family, and one act of kindness at a time.
